When an 83-year old man dies of anything, it is very hard to prove a direct
causual
relationship.    If I was 83 I think I'd go peacefully no matter who bit me.

There are far wirse tales of woe about foreign invaders in virgin
environments.   The chestnut blight is one; it eventually dislocated
hundreds
of thousands of subsistence farmers in Appalachia, and it wasn't engineered
by anyone.
