The Caribbean Red Hab was introduced by Seminis Vegetable (formerly Petoseed) a couple of years ago. If you look hard enough at my web site there is an image taken by Tom O'hara of this list. It is not the Red Savina which was introduced by GNS Spices and is protected by a patent.. According to Seminis, Caribbean Red tested at about 375K Scoville Units vs. an Orange Hab at about 200K. Like most Seminis pepper varieties, Caribbean Red is sold by several seed companies including Burpees and mine. For 2000, Seminis is introducing a new hybrid Bell called Blushing Beauty. It is an All America 2000 selection and will probably be in most seed catalogs. I trialed it this year and the wotten wabbits ate it. I did send seeds to several people and their results will help me determine whether to add it to my on-line catalog.
