>I'm wondering what would be the best variety of chile for roasted green >chile rellenos, for growing in a relatively cool climate In my experience, the hotter the chile the better it does in a cool climate. Thus, in general, most NuMexs have done better than Poblanos, and, of large pod types, 'Garden Salsa' (from ToughLove), has done the best. It is too hot as a base for green chile, but works well for rellenos (just tone down the sauce), and grows great in cooler weather. Tom (in southern CH)
