Have any New England Chileheads grown tomatillos successfully? I have 2 types in my garden that are now the size of small trees. They are COVERED with normal sized-husks but the fruits inside are only chickpea to black olive size. Is this a fertilization problem or do they require a very long growing season? They were doing so well all summer I never thought I'd have this problem. I'm finally getting blossoms on my overwintered rocotos. So much for having them for the fall harvest. I'll try to keep them going indoors. The chile harvest so far: chocolate habs (these are HOT) fatalis (killer heat and taste) orange habs yellow s. bonnets (BIG ones) red savinas (all shapes and sizes) caribbean red devil's tongue (HOT!!) billy goat (cherry-sized hab-type) cleo's dragon (looks like a hab) b'ode (very small but have a berry-like taste) yuquitania (are these C. chinense? they taste like habs) charleston hot (these are surprisingly hot) purira (not as hot as some claim) fire serrano (really poor yield) aji limon/aji pineapple francesca (poor yield) firecracker piquin ankhor sunrise wild brazil (pea-sized but pack a wollop) ring of fire jalapeno (ripened for smoking) carmine Most will find their way into some kind of sauce :-) Jeffro Jeffro's Serious Sauces
