Thanks to all who attended our SE Ohio Hotluck, it was great to finally meet some CHs in person. While Ohio may have lower numbers, it is my observation that the interest, quality information, and general good nature of the Buckeye state listers balances out the fact that we are but few... Enough is enough on this Roy thing...I do think that most, if not all of us, can consider ourselves among the neurotics, and leave it at that, if Roy is lurking, disguised, and doesn't make further attacks, so be it..we don't need any more paranoia although the humor that goes along with it is ok by me.. Valerie, my canary is called Saffron, so I'm having trouble visualizing it for a dog. The SO, who doesn't care for small dogs, suggested Wormwood (my one wormwood plant is pretty annoying), so I countered with the end product of wormwood, "Absinthe," or Abby for short. Or,why not just "Chile?" Alex, on Odd Lots, we found that one in Columbus (Refugee Road) did the remodel and cut down on their food section, but others, in particular the small town ones, remain good sources. We like the one in Circleville, Ohio as well as Lancaster. (I found an Aji pepper hot sauce from Ethiopia for .39 in Circleville earlier this year.) I haven't been for awhile but Grove City's used to be really excellent as well. The big kids refuse to touch food from Odd Lots, so we make a game of removing the price tags and putting them on things we don't want them to eat....I'm not married but am a 'wicked stepmother' of sorts (more neuroticism...) I'm enjoying this immensely, but will soon be disconnected as my job comes to a halt 10/1. As Ahnold says, "I'll be back," if things (new pc) fall into place quickly, maybe I will barely be gone. Just remember, that the new incarnation shepherdesslc@netscape.net is NOT Roy (a wolf in sheep's clothing??) Looking forward to seeing other heads at Campbells, I'm working hard on the SO but may have to find another companion to bring...
