A VERY belated (sorry, I was out of town) thank you to Dave, T, Chet, and Doug for the Xnipec explanation / recipes. After reading some recent postings on the list, I decided to try halving and seeding some fresh Habs. to put into a jar of honey. It sounded as though this was supposed to, at least somewhat, preserve them. Within a fairly short time they became withered and unwholesome looking; not to mention the odor. Admittedly, I am a bit ignorant on many of the culinary arts and many of you will no doubt grin and groan if my theory is correct, but here goes. Is there a big difference in what I bought for this purpose, that being "clover" honey, and what I now see in our cabinet as, apparently, just plain honey? There seems to be at least a physical difference in not only the color, but also in the way it flows inside the jar. The "clover" honey is much clearer and free flowing than the other. Any insights before I waste any more good Habs. on this project? Thanks in advance, -E.-
