Yup- big time fan back then.  It was THE show to watch at my high school
dorm.

This isn't to say that I don't believe in universal truths however.  It
is just that 'my pod vs your pod' is a pretty meaningless exercise.  If
I hunt long enough in my fields, I can find some of my hybrid bells that
will be hotter than that odd Savina that has little heat.  I prefer to
think of Scoville ratings as 'potentials' rather than 'measures'.  Just
because JC's haz mat chile has a rating of 16,000,000 Scovilles doesn't
mean that every one of them will reach that measure, it just simply has
that potential.
