[CH] how yellow?...

according to the local lady who devines the coming winter by counting
wooly worms, we have at least two more weeks before anykind of
frost...but i'm getting nervous, reading about the frenzied activity
among our northern climes...

i've got about a dozen aji amarillos that are a real pale green...none
have ripened yet...at least i don't think so, and that is my
question...how yellow does a yellow aji get?...should i be looking for a
color like those disputed chiles in jim's patch?...or should i settle for
a yellow-green?...also have a trifetti that produces purple fruit...they
don't seem to change color...that is they are born purple, and seem to
remain purple no matter how i leave them on the plant...(chile woman was
right, it IS a pretty plant, and the peppers are tasty, but am i eating
them before they are mature?)...

and finally, i am going to try to overwinter a couple plants...can i cut
them back when i bring them into the apt?...they are REAL tall and not
the least bit bushy, and am hoping i can cut them down to about half
their height and still have them live)...
