Well, I think I've just created the hot new chile-head craze that will be sweeping the country! I've been making mash - just peppers; no salt - out of some of my Red Savinas and (frozen separately) some of my sweet peppers, and freezing it. Last night, I went down to the deep-freeze and, what should be sitting on one of the shelves, but a sliver of frozen, red juice. Without thinking, I scooped it up a placed it upon my tongue. Yow!!!!! Turns out, one of the bags had leaked - and it wasn't the sweet stuff. All of a sudden, it hit me - SavinaSickles! This would be a layered popsickle, Savina on one layer, vanilla ice cream on the other. Haven't figured out packaging and marketing yet (nor, in fact, if anyone would buy them), but it sure sounds good. One lick to heat you up; another to cool you down - R.
