Didn't someone want a Haggis Recipe? I got this one when I went to Scotland... it is tasty, but I couldn't tell you where to purchase a sheep's pluck. INGREDIENTS: 1 Sheep's pluck and bag 1/4 lb. Suet 1/2 lb. Oatmeal 2 Onions (blanched) Pepper and Salt 1/2 teaspoon Mixed Herbs (?) METHODE: 1. Wash bag in cold water, bring to boil, scrape and clean. Leave overnight with salt and water. 2. Wash pluck, put into pan of boiling water, boil 2 hours with windpipe draining into jar. 3. Cutt off windpipe, mince best part of lungs and heart, removing gristle, grate best parts of liver. 4. Add toasted oatmeal, minced suet and onions, 2 tsps. salt, 1 tsp. pepper, herbs an enough liquic in which pluck was boiled, to moisten. 5. Nearly fill the stomach bag, keeping fat or smooth side inside. 6. Sew up, then prick well, place on plate in pot of boiling water. 7. Boil gently for 3 hours. Bon Apetit!
