Dear Tom, ROAST PUMPKIN SEEDS Once you've carved your jack-o-lanterns for Halloween, don't throw out those pumpkin seeds. They're a nutritious and delicious snack when roasted. Here's how: --Separate the seeds from the stringy pulp, wash them and spread the seeds on a cookie sheet. --Sprinkle the seeds lightly with salt and roast in the oven at 375F for 3 to 4 minutes. --Stir them and continue roasting for another 2 to 3 minutes until the hulls are golden brown. Chile-heads can "heat" these up with their favorite hot sauce just before roasting! >From the beach, Myron (aka Beach Boy) PS Please join me Sundays at 9pm EST for "Cooking with Beach Boy!" <http://busycooks.about.com/mpchat.htm> T wrote: > > I cleaned out several pumkins today, so I need some chilehead recipes(and > some non, for the kids). > > Thanks, > > Tom .:~*~:. .:~*~:. .:~*~:. .:~*~:. .:~*~:. .:~*~:. .:~*~:.
