Eight years ago I went w/an Early California style wedding (married at
Carmel Mission) - my wedding party was dressed in cowboy boots w/appropriate
dresses for the women & sport coats w/open collars [no tie] for the men

After the wedding we [300 guests] went back to my home overlooking Monterey
Bay - luckily it was a gorgeous November day so people were both inside &
outside the house and on the decks 

With a Southwestern theme, we served:
	Assorted cheeses w/crackers
	Salsas w/chips
	Crudites w/dips

	Carne Asada
	   w/the fixings: tortillas (flour & corn), cheese, salsa, lettuce,
peppers, etc
	Spanish rice
	Refried beans
	Jicama salad
	Assorted condiments [peppers, pickles, olives, etc.]

	Wedding cake

	Champagne, beer & punch

When my daughter was married her in-laws insisted they plan & pay for the
food - they had:
	Salsa & Chips at each table

	Chili Verde
	   w/the fixings: tortillas (flour & corn), cheese, salsa, lettuce,
peppers, etc
	Spanish rice
	Refried beans
	Assorted condiments [peppers, pickles, olives, etc.]

	Wedding cake

	Champagne, beer & punch

	Mariachis
