I don't know about the wall-o-water, but up here in the mountains of the northwest (5000 feet, and in Oregon) I find a very signifigant difference by just planting the plants within a foot or 2 of the house. -----Original Message----- From: owner-chile-heads@globalgarden.com [mailto:owner-chile-heads@globalgarden.com] On Behalf Of Jim McGrath Sent: Monday, November 22, 1999 10:50 AM To: Mike Benson Cc: chile-heads@globalgarden.com Subject: Re: [CH] Wall-O-Water? I've used them in the past with good results. Put them out a week or two before transplanting to warm up the soil. I don't bother with them any more now that I have a sun room. I found they start to develop leaks after a few years. Since each cylinder is separate, this isn't as bad as it sounds. You can buy sleeves that are inserted into leaky cylinders.
