Well, I don't have a Christmas tree up yet...
and I don't have any Christmas lights up yet...
and I haven't bought a poinsettia yet...
and I haven't unearthed the Christmas decorations,
yet I do have a Keriting-type indoors in a pot with
15 or so ripe red peppers, a nice red/green combo,
so I am not totally devoid of the Holiday Spirit.

Speaking of spirits, all this talk about pepper vodka
has me thinking it would make a killer screwdriver.
