It is true that they are good "in a tight (with a few additions)." They sure are handy. . But, they are not bad without additions, either. I keep a supply at work -- 'course I want to bump up the heat. There are some other good ones to look for. Look for one that includes a separate packet of hot sesame oil with the soup base. And then there are a least three other brands of ramen packaged that include a separate packet of chili paste in addition to the soup base and flavors. The heat packaged in the latter bunch surprised me a bit. Like salt with some people, I add pepper to almost everything before I taste it. Boy, was that soup so good! I'm working New Years Eve and I already know we are not Y2K ready. I'd rather be with Calvin or Jim, too. Calvin, I'm running low again. The check is in the mail. Renee
