I have grown these in southern Indiana with wonderful results. The fruit does not appear until late in our growing season but there is still time to harvest them. I sell a lot of them locally and know customers who grow them in pots year-round and dig them up from the garden and bring them indoors for the winter. It is hard to be patient for the fruits when the other chiles are busting out all over but they are worth the wait. They are such a beautiful plant anyway that I always pause to give them an admiring glance when I am harvesting the other types in the field. Susan Byers The Chile Woman
