Shann,
Does "Williams.edu" mean that you are just west (and a bit north) of me in
Williamstown, Massachusetts? If so, you are not going to have any Chile
problems. And while you might plan for zone 4, you're really in zone 5.
Byron the Brave up there in Bugruckett, NH grows with wonderful success and
he only feeds his Chiles granite. If you have zone, sunlight, feeding
issues, then you're in the right place. The "experts" (who hate to be called
that) from here, there, and everywhere will help you have the best growing
season ever.
Your south (and west) facing area ought to become a veritable jungle of
potent pods.
If "williams.edu" means something else, "muddah, faddah kindly disregard this
lettah."
