Only a matter of time before they use helicopters to spot your patch. Actually, when it was dry in Ohio last summer, the narcs could spot the weed patches because they stood out as green against all the brown. In 1993 and other years, I've seen small country gardens go dry. I wondered why someone would take the trouble to cultivate a garden then let it dry out, but I was told that if they let their wells get too low, they will cavitate and be damaged, so they sacrifice the garden. Personally, I'd be getting water from the creek (which I have done with the ridge gardens). I have one of those Ryobi weed-eaters that breaks in half and accepts different attachments like a blower, hedge trimmer, etc. I wish they would make an immersible pump attachment, like a sump pump, that I could dip in a creek to fill water barrels. BTW one year the rain barrels on the ridge got a few fish along with the creek water, and we had stocked barrels for the rest of the year. No mosquito larvae... - A ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com
