Hi all, Have the UK CH-ers noticed that the featured chile of the month in the Waitrose chain is the Anaheim, which they sell for about £1.39 for two (ouch!)? SO came back with a pair on special - 1/3 off - which I put in my shredded chicken for enchiladas. I don't think these chiles are proving popular, and no wonder, as the suggested recipe in their mag was boring. They also didn't tell you to roast/steam the hard skin off. SO was surprised I liked Anaheims. While I think that bell peppers are the work of the devil and the only living thing on this earth I'd slate for extinction, he thought they tasted exactly like bells. Anyway, because of the botched promotion you might be able to get these chiles on sale and out-of-season. What with these and the habaneros, cayennes, jalapeños, and birds' eyes in local supermarkets, the UK is starting to look like a civilised place. Cheers, Virginia
