I guess you could call it a "Stuffed Pepper" cause it was full of cheese. I had the best Chile Relleno that I've ever had in a Taqueria in Carson City NV yesterday. The place is in an industrial park near the airport and seats 12 uncomfortably and more at a couple of picnic tables outside if the weather is ever nice. The chile was a Poblano (erroneously called Pasilla out here in the west) half the size of the platter, the other half being covered by beans and some of the best tasting rice I've ever had. Stem and placenta were included. If any of you are coming to the fiery foods show in Reno I'll be happy to give directions or maybe share the counter with you. You may want to consider bringing your own hot sauce as the house stuff is "Tapatio", and the Poblano was not hot. It was cooked right before my eyes in a cast iron skillet. They only serve breakfast and lunch. Dave Anderson Tough Love Chile Co. http://www.tough-love.com > May all who enjoy bells, do so. I just, uhmm... well... aaahhhh...
