Well I am just getting caught up on reading a few issues of the Digest.
Geez, sure alot of spirited debate over tastes in food and opinions on BT.
So I thought, since I live in Wisconsin, grow and eat bell peppers and black
eyed peas and raise Monarch Butterflies I'd throw in my two cents worth and,
although that's probably all its worth, its mine and I am going to use the
two cents to achieve maximum effect. I don't think I have met many peppers I
haven't liked. I have grown sweet peppers that ranged in color from dark
dark green to translucent white. Very few peppers that came out of my garden
have been bitter. I love them as much as my Habs and they go great together.
And, although I live in a rural area of Wisconsin, I have never seen black
eyed peas being fed to cows or pigs. I am sure that might enjoy them as much
as me. In fact I love black eyed peas with bell peppers.
And I feel sorry for the Monarch Butterfly larvae that died after
eating the corn laced with BT but they probably died of STARVATION. We
raised Monarch Butterflies and all they eat here is milk weed. This is
essential to their survival because the larvae eat the bitter bitter bitter
milkweed, Then very few things want to eat them and there are chemicals in
the milk weed that help them form their cocoons. Its quit a miracle to watch
the process. But, even with all the corn we grow here I have never ever seen
a Monarch eating corn. Be like putting me in a room with only Lima beans.
I'd starve. OPPS, I don't want to start a controversy about Lima beans.
As far as the affects and benefits of Capsaisin, I just happen to
looking at a page that has some great info -
http://thepeppershop.com/EncycloPepredia_Vol_1.html#B. Give it a look. Great
overall pepper info.
And another thing, was it just one small bottle of tobasco sauce
that biker had to finish off. I think on the Tobasco web site they said a
bottle of Tobasco lasts the average person a year. It lasts me two days if
its lucky.
And finally, thanks to Jeff S. for the jerk seasoning. Great stuff.
Thanks. Oh by the way what is a Peron pepper. I have seeds for some but
can't seem to find a listing.

have some black eyed peas"
