[gardeners] Saturday in the garden

Didn't do much out there today. Harvested a little lettuce, a few heads of
broccoli, some Bok Choy, a few chiles to take to my favorite sister. We
visited her for about 4 hours at mid-day and then back home to happy dog.
After dancing with Sleepy for awhile we cleaned the accumulation of leaves
out of the rain gutters and then blew off the patio, will mow/mulch the
leaves tomorrow if the rains don't hit again. We're ready to pull the
azaleas out where I intend to have my herb garden. The azaleas will go over
by the oak trees and will be mulched in. Around here we don't dig holes for
them, just plop them on top of the ground and mulch them good. After that
we will start double digging the area for the herb garden. May have to
borrow a tiller as part of it has been in San Augustine sod for 25 years.
This is the beginning of the plan to convert the entire back yard into
gardens. I'm looking for a decently priced statue of St. Fiacre if anybody
runs up on one. Beaucoup St. Francis statues around here but haven't found
a Fiacre yet.

Got three more catalogs today, will the deluge never stop. (maniacal
laughter rings out!)
