There's a show called Two Fat Ladies, the stars are a couple of Brit gals of, ahem, generous proportions, and they cook using scads of butter, lard, fatty bacon, etc. I gained at least a stone and my cholesterol went up 30 points just watching the show. In some of the other cooking shows the heavy use of butter is coming back. George
