Finally got around to pulling the green beans out and making compost of the bushes. Got about 2 quarts off of them as I pulled them out. Yanked out one of the Yellow Pear tomatoes too, had gone all brown on me, they can't take to much heat and it's already August here even if the calendar says June. Getting about a quart a day of Yellow Pears off of three, now two, vines. About all we can eat ourselves. Caught the dog picking blueberries this afternoon, we had a severe chat about that. Had to deep water everything again, still no rain in sight. Can't understand why that !@#$%^&* San Augustine grass keeps growing in this heat. Just cut it four days ago and it needs it again. George
