Hi George - Beet greens are the tops of beets.  I like beets but hubby is not very keen on them tho he likes the beet greens.  I tend to plant them closely as I'm after a larger harvest of the tops than the beets themselves.  Can't describe the difference in taste, except to say that I find there is a difference.

Bright Lights, to me, tastes just like the rest of the chards. I've
grown at least 2 varieties besides Bright Lights (or 5 color as it's
known in some catalogs). Isn't chard just beet greens or am I thinking
of some other green?
