George, I think the act of letting one gourd go to seed has slowed down
productivity of your vines.  If you let one or more sugar snap peas mature
on the vine, the vine dies.  If you pick them clean, they'll try to produce
other fruit.  I don't blame you for wanting to preserve seeds this year,
but with luck you won't have to do this again for a few years.  Margaret
