[gardeners] In the garden

Well, we ain't messing around in the garden today. Cold as a
well-diggers ankles in Alaska out there. Must be 40F! To cold for us to
get out. Did pick some radishes and carrots for munching and then the
cold rain came. Don't expect a freeze but even these moderate temps play
hell with my angina and Sleepy Dawg don't like to squat in wet grass.

We're harvesting enough green beans about every 4 days to put up 3 pints
of Dilly Beans or give to friends and neighbors. Reckon the cold will
slow down the cukes but, strangely enough, the jicama vine seems to be
thriving.

Hope all are well. Please note the new email address, found a new ISP
right here locally that, so far, has met my needs. Of course I only
signed on today.
