I'm not a huge fan of gardening software (it's usually more trouble than its
worth, imho), but there's a *nifty* piece of software called Sprout!
(Abracadabra is the publisher) that I've found invaluable in getting the
most out of the beds I have built for veggies. The software is cheap...under
$20 as I recall, and it has a decent-sized database, as well as the ability
to add your own entries. It will keep track of planting dates and track a
crop through the entire growing season, so you can know when you need to
have the next crop for the 'slot' ready to go into the ground.

It has a no-frills journal feature that I use to keep track of planting
information, growing notes, yields, etc.

I have no affiliation with the software or its publishers...I'm just a
satisfied user who estimates that I've increased my yield by roughly 40% by
using the software.
