For this special day of the year when we give "thanks," I would like to express my appreciation to those on the Gardens' and Gardeners' Lists for all the wonderful exchange (both on and off topics) of information, ideas, experiences, laughter, and tears. We are packing-up to head for Columbus (Ohio) for a celebration and taking dandelion greens (the first pick of the season, from the freezer). I'm about to go gather the remaining escarole (the last pick of the season). The already blanched dandelion will be cooked with Bill Loke's garlic and olive oil; the escarole will be for a green salad. The turkey, I'm told, is going to be cooked on the grill with a fresh fruit stuffing. As George says, "Life is good." Happy Thanksgiving to all the world of gardeners!
