Hi Penny,

Don't know about Rochester but Toronto had lines of trucks filled 
with snow that needed to be dumped.

I understood Kays explanation and that explains the fish kill in the 
spring.  Never had figured that out before.  I thank you Kay!!

I think if they were allowed to dump in the great lakes it would be 
mega- amounts of snow. . .particularly this winter . . .and the salt 
and oil and general road debris would  be considerable.  Even our 
little town of Peterborough which doesn't move that much snow off 
the road has a large field where they dump the snow and it takes till 
june sometimes for the mountains to melt . . . . nothing grows in that 
field in the summer so that should tell us something.
