I went down to the village this morning and found a camelia flowering,
admittedly it was in a very sheltered spot but after the dreadful weather we
have ben having it cheered me up no end. It made the problem of water pouring
through a ceiling from my balcony seem easier to cope with. The natives say
they have never know such a wet and very windy January.
