Well, maybe you would have a better time with this at the height of
the season and trying a what's ripe today kind of menu.

Or maybe you would enjoy Eliot Coleman's book on 4 season gardening
so that you eat nearly everything fresh.

Wow, you sound swamped!
Not directly related to gardening but helping to make more time
for it books that might help are
Your Money or Your Life by Joe Dominguez and Vicki Robin
Getting a Life by Jacque Blix and David Heitmiller.  Blix and Heitmiller
do mention that their new life/time strategies have made it
possible for them to have time to put into gardening.
