Hi All,
I am delurking to ask a question & hope someone has the answer. Its
time to start my first seeds of the season, under lights in the
basement. I moved a sad looking weeping fig down to the basement about
a month ago. I noticed that the soil had a hole dug in it, I filled it
up & the hole would be back the next time I was in the basement. I left
it & now something is chewing on a large root in the pot. Do rats or
mice chew roots? My basement is only partially dug out & half is still
dirt. I take my dog w/me to chase off whatever is there. I don't mind
bugs, love spiders as long as they keep their distance but I'm sorry
rats & mice scare the s--t out of me. It is time to get the D-Con out
or is it something else.
I enjoy your conversations even though I don't contribute. I'm sure
everyone is looking forward to spring like I am. There is snow on the
ground this am so I just enjoy filling my birdbath & filling all my
feeders. I just recently had my yard registered as a backyard habitat &
it is such a joy on a cold winter morn to have so much activity in my
yard. I have resisted cleaning up the backyard in the fall for the last
2 years & the bird activity has dramatically increased. It makes spring
a little busier but what the heck.
TIA & can't wait to start those seeds (flowers) but would love to know
what varmit is going to be down there w/me.
