Had a great uncle who had a similar problem with beavers. They were cutting down a stand of beautiful white birch beside the pond they built. He painted the bottom 3 feet of each tree with a very sticky pine tar gunk. He saved most of the trees. I guess the beavers spent too much time trying to get their teeth unstuck. :-) Friends are the flowers in the Garden of Life Bill Loke USDA 4b RR#1 Kars Ont K0A 2E0 -----Original Message----- From: PieOhNear@aol.com <PieOhNear@aol.com> To: gardeners@globalgarden.com <gardeners@globalgarden.com> Date: Monday, April 19, 1999 6:33 PM Subject: Re: [gardeners] Blackberry vines Another >pest we'd like to get rid of are the Beavers that are taking down all of the >trees around our farm pond...any suggestions? > >Vicki Day-Cook >Oklahoma
