[gardeners] Aneoneme foam!

I bought a sack of anenome bulbs (?), 100 to a sack, multi-colored.  It
was recommended from this list that I soak them before planting.  well I
did just that and the next morning the bowl had all this white foam on
top and the anenomes sort of smell like somebody went whoopzig!!  What's
the foam all about.  I've rinsed bulbs and replace fresh water and
soaked some more.  Still foam and whoopzig smell.  I will be planting
them today but was just wondering was the foam  was all  about. Kay?
Harry? George? Margaret? Anybody? The anenomes look great and ready to
go!
