I remember the taste of the black radish -- say George, isn't it possible that garden fresh radishes have MUCH more bite than old-fashioned pushcart wagon radishes...?? I noticed today when I stole a blade of a new onion from the garden that it too had a bite. I was surprised, since i ate every single one we grew last summer, right out of the ground -- and do not recall any hotness...
