Dear List,
I'm in the greater DC area and love Leaf Gro. But, since I am new to
gardening, don't have much to tell you from personal experience with it.
This summer, I am using it as a top dressing and am planning to dig it into
the ground in the fall when those plants die off. One of the Master
Gardeners for my county told me that Leaf Gro is slightly acidic, about 6.5.
He said not to use it on grassy areas for that reason, but everywhere else
it is fine. You can also order it by the truck load to be delivered, rather
than hauling bags back and forth.
