Harry thanks for the reply. I tried this spring with seed potatos using
a 40 gal. barrel instead of tires. I harvested approximatly five pounds
of new potatoes for my effort. I think maybe it just gets too hot down
here too soon. Yea, finding good seed potatoes is a bit tough. I got
mine from a neighbor who had ordered them from a seed catalog. I'll try
again but in a raised bed this time and in the fall.
