Coleus ---

Carl, I have one which is called "Inky Fingers" and is handsome..
Each leaf looks like a flat glove or catcher's mitt, and each finger is
dark blue with lime green trim. I have another which develops huge
leaves and brilliant coloration at a young age, and grows to be a
thick bush about 3 ft high, if you let it.

Coleus has 3 good reasons for being included in a garden.
#1: It's non-demanding.
#2: It loves shade or sun.
#3: When planted as a seedling in amongst whatever you are trying
to feature, it eventually grows up in between the branches of the other
plants, and makes the whole effect lush. I looked around last summer
and said hey, what's going on here...??? I'll have to try this again..!

Please let us know if you eventually find some ruffled ones -- and I'll
ask
around. Do you live in New York State?

I like the mirrored idea...

Penny, NY
