In a pre-holiday Jackson & Perkins catalog. Your basic tall, square olive oil bottle (but cork mouth) - "Long stems of rosemary, colorful chili peppers, sweet annie and bay leaves float inside..." Seriously hot peppers, too, from the look of them. Enough of them to make a difference. For $35 plus shipping I could buy a teargas grenade, though not one that would last 60 hours. Or am I missing something here, and the flame actually consumes most the aromatic volatiles as well, leaving only a subtle hint of herbs & spices? I regularly get chili oil pretty warm, but haven't ever set any on fire. Any other suggestions on what to combine in something like this? bk--- new graduate committee: the US Supreme Court, Sandra Day O'Connor, chair.
