[gardeners] Rubbing alcohol

It sounds like a great idea, but this vine is 40'+ long, with numerous
intertwined branches. I can't see how I could possibly cover the whole
thing with a bottle of rubbing alcohol. I would need to fill a 5 gallon
sprayer with the stuff. ( I guess I could buy this in bulk at a medical
supply house). This plant is a rain forest weed, albeit a delightful
one, that, if laid flat, would cover a couple of hundred square feet!
