There are many destroyers and frigates in the Navy, much newer designs, more
modern weapons. The Orleck is one of two left of her class, the last of which
was built in 1946. She was built in 1945, just in time to see the end of WWII,
then Korea, Vietnam, and as a Turkish Navy destroyer she served in Desert Storm
as an escort to an American carrier task force in the Red Sea. Wanna come down
this weekend and help a bunch of old sailors chip rust? <VBG>
