Good morning, Penny,

You have stumbled on one of the true treasures of Eastern Mediterranean
ingredients. I know Byblos and would also like to recommend a brand,
should you ever find it, that is also wonderfully thick: Abali.

We are blessed to have a variety to choose from, in my very nearby
Middle Eastern Market. Check out their lebni balls in olive oil; they
are a delight!

This past week I was able to get my hands on some barberries, dried of
course, to make into a wonderful Persian rice dish with chicken, almonds
and pistachios. I can hardly wait to use up the leftovers in our
fridge:)

I am so happy that you were able to find a good brand that you really
like:)
