A friend just brought a poster from Thailand illustrating vegetables used in Thai cuisine. There are a few I'm unfamiliar with. Does anyone know alternative or botanical names for Ivy Gourd, Kaempfer or Cork Wood Tree? Kaempfer is especially interesting since it appears to be a cluster of succulent roots, yellow in color, appearing to be about the size of icicle radishes. Why in the world would it have a German name? Thanks, Margaret L
