I just spent a half an hour cleaning off my gardenia. It was totally =
covered with aphids. I have never seen anything like it. There were =
buds so thick with aphids all you could see was the little leaflets =
sticking out of the top. I ended up taking a soft bristle tooth brush =
to the smallest, and worst infested to get them all out of the little =
crevices. Worse is this is the third time I have done this in the last =
few weeks. I tried a little soapy water, but the leaves on those =
branches turned black and died after a couple of days. Is there =
anything else you might recommend, or should I keep going with the water =
treatment? =20

I was able to save the two flowers that were on it this time (last time =
they fell off) I never realized these could be so much work. =20
