Thanks to Lon posting our list info on other lists we picked up several new
members today. Would like to say Welcome to all of them and ask that they post a
short message on what they are growing this spring. Again, welcome to our
backyards to all new members and the delurkers too. <VBG>
I'll start by saying I'm George Shirley, the erstwhile listowner, and I garden
in SW Louisiana where heat, humidity and a myriad of insects are enemies. I
garden with my wife of 40 plus years, Miz Anne, who is the love of my life and
with our Rat Terrier Sleepy, who seems to rule the roost but is at least smart
enough to stay out of the garden. Miz Anne grows lots of flowers and we both
grow veggies and I also grow berries and fruit trees and herbs, my special
project. Any questions about the list just drop me a line.
