I'm Terry King. I'm one of the original subscribers to this list but many of you probably haven't seen my name often because I've been going to school the past couple of years and haven't had time to chat. I live near Wauconda, WA., that's due east of Teressa, 2/3rds of the way across the state and 60 miles N. of Grand Coulee Dam. My husband and I have 2 sons ages 13 and 15, 43 acres, a house that has yet to be completed, 4 horses, 6 dogs, 4 cats, 10 sheep, 3 angora goats, misc. ducks and 13 Geese (our pair of geese finally brought off a clutch so now we have a gaggle of geese). I've fallen in love with perennial gardening, I grow herbs and attempt to raise veggies in my zone 4 garden. Our last frost is ususlly 4th of July and our first is usually the week of August 22nd. I realized the other day I seem to have a fondness for plants with grass like leaves. I have become obsessed with daylilies (I have at least 25 varieties now), iris, hostas, tulips, daffodils, dianthus, lilies and a grass called zebra grass which I planted last year. I'm also crazy about anything tricolored, poppies, flax, clematis (mostly alpinas), sedums, hardy and scented geraniums and almost anything with orange or yellow flowers. About a year or so ago, from the nearby town of Republic we lost our excellent one legged barber, Les and his wife Theresa, to Teressa's neck of the woods. Nice people, the town misses them. Terry (who, after rereading this mornings post, realizes I shouldn't answer email until I've had a little more coffee and my fingers wake up)
