Thanks George and Ron! I took a hard look at all 4 trees again, and the largest in front has to go. It's a twin trunk and has major limbs crossing all over the place, and moar of the limbs are aimed out toward the street or my neighbor's drive. So when that's out, we'll put a Blenheim in there. The second one may be able to be pruned to a reasonable shape and size. Will give that a try. We really are in apricot heaven though... Even with the squirrel losses, I picked about 100 today and there's a lot still on the trees. Can't match Ron's 600 on one though! I'm going to try making a no-sugar added jam of some of them for my husband. I've been on the Atkin's Diet, so I'm planning a 'food vacation' so I can enjoy some of my apricot crop fresh off the tree. <G> Carol Sunland, CA Sunset 19
