Hello, Ron -- it probably depends upon which community you are
shopping in for the name 'grinder'. The nearest I've gotten is a
'hero', particularly a meatball hero, altho heros with 2 & 3 kinds
of thin sliced Italian salamis, plus tomato, shredded lettuce, of
course some slices of Italian cheese, all topped off with a healthy
schpritz of Italian salad dressing, are also very popular. Yummy 
to both kinds!
