<< I harvested about 40 pounds of shallots >>

Margaret,

What variety did you plant? I planted the Grey (too small) and the Red
something which were better.

I won't grow the Egyptian Walking onions again. They are ok cooked, but we
preferred the Stockton Reds as they are so sweet for salads. Walla Wallas
didn't produce so well here as we are borderline for them.

We really loved the Purple beans we planted this year sweet, tender, and easy
to find and pick. LOL

<<Zephyr squash from Johnny's Selected Seeds>> This sounds very interesting,
especially as my squash didn't do much this year. It was a combination of
planting them late and the coolest July on record!
